Today, on April 11, 2024, the Communist Party of Albania (PKSH) paid homage at the resting place of Enver Hoxha in the Sharra Cemetery in Tirana, on the occasion of the 39th anniversary of his passing on April 11, 1985. Members and sympathizers of the Party participated in this political event. Also present were Comrade Qemal Cicollari, Chairman of the PKSH, accompanied by other leaders of rhe Party. The wreath with flowers at Enver Hoxha’s resting place on behalf of the PKSH was placed by Comrade Qemal Cicollari, Chairman of the PKSH, and Comrade Petrit Këndezi, Secretary of the Central Committee of the PKSH.
Qemal Cicollari spoke briefly about Enver Hoxha’s historic role during the legendary epic of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War and the glorious era of socialism for nearly half a century. Cicollari emphasized in his speech that the history of the Albanian people has written in golden letters the great and undeniable truth that Enver Hoxha was the founder and leader of the Communist Party of Albania, which led the Albanian people during the legendary epic of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War against the fascist Italian and German invaders and the traitorous collaborators of the country, which led to the liberation of Albania and the triumph of the People’s Revolution on November 29, 1944. Enver Hoxha was the leader and strategist of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, the Supreme Commander of the Albanian National Liberation Army, etc.
The history of the Albanian people has written in golden letters, emphasized Qemal Cicollari, that Enver Hoxha was the leader of the Albanian people during the glorious era of socialism for nearly half a century, during which great victories were achieved in service of the people and Homeland. The people refer to the time of socialism as the time of Enver.

— In the era of socialism and Enver Hoxha, phenomena such as unemployment, organized crime, trafficking, drugs, prostitution, emigration, blood feuds, corruption, etc., insurmountable plagues of the current capitalist system, were unknown.
— In the era of socialism and Enver Hoxha, Albania was a completely free and independent country unlike today in capitalism when Albania has been transformed into a colony of Euro-American imperialism.
After the passing of the Great Enver on April 11, 1985, socialism in Albania was overthrown by the bourgeois-revisionist “peaceful” counter-revolution led by the former revisionist Party of Labour of Albania directed by the chief revisionist and traitor Ramiz Alia.
After the overthrow of socialism and the restoration of capitalism in Albania, for more than 33 years the reactionary Albanian bourgeoisie in power and its bourgeois state, its Albanian right-wing and “left-wing” bourgeois parties such as the neo-fascist bourgeois Democratic Party of Sali Berisha and the bourgeois Socialist Party of Edi Rama, and international imperialism, have been carrying out a bitter anti-communist crusade against the great historical figure of Enver Hoxha. This anti-communist crusade against Great Enver by the reactionary Albanian bourgeoisie and international imperialism becomes even more bitter when there are major historical events in Albania related to his great revolutionary work, or on the anniversaries of his birth and death. Even this year, which is also the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Albania, the bitter anti-communist crusade for the falsification, denigration and denial of the historical role of the Great Enver continues non-stop.
Why do the reactionary Albanian bourgeoisie and international imperialism, especially American and European imperialism, do this? The reactionary Albanian bourgeoisie and international imperialism attack Enver Hoxha every hour with lies and monstrous fabrications, aiming to remove him from the minds and hearts of the people because the Great Enver shows the working class and the working masses, the people, with his great revolutionary work and Marxist-Leninist teachings, the genuine path to overthrowing the old oppressive and exploitative capitalist society and achieving the victory of the new socialist and communist society without oppression and exploitation of man by man. The political aim of the reactionary Albanian bourgeoisie and international imperialism against the Great Enver has been and remains to defend and perpetuate the old oppressive and exploitative capitalist society and to deny the new socialist and communist society without oppression and exploitation of man by man. But time is showing us more and more every day that the Great Enver lives and is being magnificently reborn in the minds and spirits of the people, as a banner of struggle and victory for freedom and socialism.

On this 80th anniversary of the liberation of Albania from fascism and the triumph of the People’s Revolution, the Communist Party of Albania will carry out revolutionary actions to defend the Great Enver, the leader and strategist of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War of the Albanian people and the Supreme Commander of the Albanian National Liberation Army, which led to the liberation of Albania and the triumph of the People’s Revolution on November 29, 1944.
