Expected Successes of Rama

“During the fourth term, which the Socialist Party will win with 1 million votes, we will achieve these successes: We will build the car racing track in Elbasan; we will host the NATO Summit in Tirana; and we will increase the minimum pension to 150 euros…!”

This promise reminds me of a sketch, where the successes of King Ahmet Zogu were praised:

“His Majesty, Ahmet Zogu, King of the Albanians, has achieved great successes: He has built the great bridge over the Mat river; he has built the Burrel Prison; and he has set up in Tirana an office where people can quickly and conveniently take care of personal needs for half a lek!”

What connection can there be between these two “eras”?

Microcredits — Copies of the SUDJA and XHAFERRI Pyramids

The microcredit scandal has endangered over 17,000 citizens. The scale of this scandal resembles the financial pyramids of SUDJA and XHAFERRI. The responsibility for this scandal lies with the Central Bank of Albania and its branches, which not only “initiated” these pyramids but also remained silent as the process deteriorated. The Ministry of Justice also bears responsibility, as it “acted” only after the scandal was “inaugurated” by the suicide of a debtor citizen.

The magnitude of the scandal can be clearly understood when reading the correspondence and verbal debate between the President of the Republic and the Central Bank of Albania on this issue.

God save us from… the government, the state and from… doomsday!

Prime Minister Rama in the Role of Brigadier for the Tourism Sector

Prime Minister Rama has put aside all other work and has become the Brigadier of the tourism sector. With a pencil in hand, he sits at the gate of Rinas, counting the planes bringing tourists to Albania from all corners of the globe. According to him, during the first half of 2024, our country has seen an increase of 350,000 tourists compared to the same period last year.

To reinforce these figures, Rama also provides the number of planes arriving daily at our Rinas airport, which this year has surpassed even the “Champion of the Balkans — Belgrade.”

PM Rama said many things, but he did not say one thing: how much money has been collected from tourism to increase the pensions of retirees, who, after the failure of Shpirag oil, have turned their hopes towards “open sesame.”

But will Rama’s “sesame” open?
