Edi Rama and Frederik Ndoci Mock Lenka Çuko

– Gjon Bruçi –

In a conversation on a “podcast” between Prime Minister Edi Rama and the singer from Shkodra, Frederik Ndoci, among other things, they talked about the “democratic adventure” of 1990, where our characters were supposedly at the “vanguard” of the demonstrations against the socialist system. During the conversation, Frederik also mentioned his sister, Rita, who, in contrast to her brother Frederik, who is with Berisha’s Democratic Party, Rita is with Rama’s Socialist Party. Laughing, Rama asked again: “Why, Rita is with me?” “Yes,” Frederik said, “because a ‘Lenka Çuko’ is needed!”

After this joke, both burst into laughter, especially Rama, who felt double satisfaction from this quip by the Shkodran “Rikard.”

The poor “democratic-socialist” Siamese twins!

Lenka Çuko, who came from the furrows of the fields, with experience in agricultural work; who completed two higher education degrees, both in person and by correspondence, and was delegated to the leadership of the Party of Labour as a member of the Central Committee and Political Bureau, managed to become fully “urban” without forgetting the manners of a villager. Whereas our two “urbanites” with podcast headphones on their heads never reached the level of a true citizen and remained perpetual “simpletons” of both urban and rural life.

I want to tell Edi Rama that Lenka Çuko had the same level of higher education as you, but with one difference: You learned to make scribble paintings and basketball “hoops” accompanied by personal anecdotes, while Lenka Çuko managed with special dedication the sector assigned to her in building a socialist society.

Furthermore, Lenka Çuko, whether she was a simple worker or an important leader, maintained a serious demeanor in behaviour, dress and actions. Whereas you, Mr. Edi Rama, even though you are the Prime Minister of the country, attend tributes at the Cemetery of the Martyrs of the Nation with black sneakers and an untucked shirt.

Precisely for these reasons, but also for others, while Lenka Çuko will be remembered for her serious work and behaviour, you will be remembered as a controversial person who mocks the work, the position and yourself!
