One of the leaders of the Party and the state, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party of Labour of Albania (PLA) from the 8th Congress (1981) onwards and secretary of the Central Committee of the PLA. She was born in the village of Fier i Ri in the district of Lushnja on July 8, 1938. She was formed and tempered as a revolutionary by initially working as a simple cooperative member and then as a leading cadre in agriculture. In 1968, the general assembly elected her as the chairwoman of the “J.V. Stalin” united agricultural cooperative of Krutje. She became a member of the PLA in 1960. She graduated from the “V.I. Lenin” Higher Party School (1971). She has distinguished herself as a determined fighter for implementing the line of the Party in agriculture and as a social activist. For several years, she was a member of the Bureau of the district of Lushnja Party Committee, and in 1975 she was elected the first secretary of this district’s Party Committee. She became a candidate for the Central Committee of the PLA at the 6th Congress (1971) and a member of the Central Committee of the PLA at the 7th Congress (1976). She has made and continues to make a significant contribution to strengthening the Party and tempering revolutionary cadres, fighting resolutely to defend the Party’s Marxist-Leninist line against imperialism, modern revisionism, and all internal and external enemies. She has been a deputy in the People’s Assembly since the seventh legislature (1970).
